Careers in Art

Students that graduate with a degree in studio art have the tools to become a working artist. Students who choose to receive a Master's degree in Art are also able to teach at the college level.

Many of our graduates in the areas of photography and graphic design go on to work for professional studios practicing in those specific areas.

We have a 100% pass rate for our BFA-TC students who have taken the Texas Certification Tests in the past six years! These students are able to teach at the K-12 level with this degree.

There are many internships availbale for students while enrolled at TAMUCC. The Art Museum of South Texas, department student worker positions and local internships are just a few of the most popular.
